What draws you to a career in wildlife conservation?
What drives me in conservation is the wish to take tangible actions to protect the valuable heritage of my country.
Who or what has inspired you?
Nature inspires me because it is a source of beauty. She is a constant example of strength and resilience, encouraging me in my personal and professional life.
What book has influenced you or made a strong impression?
My favorite book is Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
What is your favorite food?
I love tagliatelle carbonara, but I have a soft spot for desserts. A little chocolate cake.
What is your favorite movie?
I prefer documentaries, like those produced by Nat Geo Wild. They help me to better understand wildlife and the challenges animals face in their natural environment, while highlighting the importance of conservation and protection.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would choose Tanzania to go on an incredible safari, mainly because the country hosts the largest lion population in the world. A close second would be Paris, for its romantic charm.
What is one of the coolest experiences you’ve had in your work?
One of the coolest moments in my career was seeing a project I worked hard on succeed in practice and have real positive impact. It motivated me.
Besides lemurs, what is one of your favorite animals, and why?
I admire lions for their character, strength, courage and patience.
Why do you care about Madagascar’s wildlife?
I care about Madagascar’s wildlife because it is my home and its biodiversity is truly unique in the world. Sadly, this natural heritage is under threat from human activities and climate change. I want to do my part to protect it and help restore its beauty for future generations.
