International Chameleon Day on May 9!
We at Wildlife Madagascar, along with more than 25 partners, are launching a new wildlife day to raise awareness about the amazing diversity of chameleon species, their extraordinary characteristics and behaviors, and the threats they face in the wild. Chameleons are found in many places around the world, but the largest number of species are native to Madagascar, so we’re pleased to give them their day in the sun! The inaugural International Chameleon Day is this year, on May 9, 2024.
