YVONNE MILES
International Merchandise Director
Retired in 2020 from the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance after 45 years of service, Yvonne’s career provided an adventurous experience as Corporate Director of Merchandising. Her duties included strategic planning, financial budgeting, business development, and collaborating alongside internal and external partners in business ventures. She served on several boards, working with colleagues in facing retail and wildlife challenges, fundraising, and creating opportunities for education and promoting wildlife conservation.
Yvonne enjoyed traveling around the world as a representative for the zoo, which changed her perspective on other cultures, but also gave her an appreciation of the United States. Yvonne lives in San Diego with her husband, Bob. Both love traveling, cooking, gardening, and spending time with their daughter, Tara, and two grandkids.
