World Lemur Day is a global event dedicated to Madagascar’s iconic primates. Lemurs are found nowhere else on Earth, yet 95% of lemur species are threatened with extinction, making them the most endangered group of mammals on the planet. World Lemur Day raises awareness about the incredible diversity of lemurs and the urgent need to protect Madagascar’s forests, which are their only home.
